Great Expectations of Child Care Centers
The number one differentiator of a 'good' Center from a 'great' Center is a well-trained staff.
Empowered Training Centre is providing an outstanding opportunity to help centers increase and sustain their quality. Participating centers will receive regular monthly coaching for Directors and Assistant Directors along with 800 hours of training for Center staff and a Competency Assessment Tool that helps Directors identify each staff member's strengths and gaps and address those gaps from the 800 hours of available training.
5 Steps of Support are provided to Directors at participating Centers on an annual basis through Empowered Training's MILES® platform. Using these 5 steps, you will be able to:
- Assess the Individual Staff Member: Directors are able to use a Competency Assessment Tool to identify the strengths and gaps of individual staff members against 37 skills including rules, regulations, communication, organization, and time management.
- Bridge the Gap: Directors are able to provide staff training that is aligned to employee skill gaps over a period of one full year by creating a personal roadmap. The role of the Director evolves from being a primary trainer to that of a coach, mentor, and facilitator. Directors can do much more for individual staff members under this model.
- Coach the Director: Directors can participate in monthly webinars to learn about best practices and in community blogs to share and discuss issues with their peers in the industy, and they can receive insightful newsletters each month. This information can be used to facilitate discussions in the monthly staff meetings.
- Develop New Hires: Directors can ensure new hires are assessed and preservice training is provided prior to being left alone with children in the classroom.
- Empower your Staff: Directors will have confidence that assessed and trained staff know the standards they are measured against and have the knowledge and skills to ensure effective management processes in the classroom.
Directors can now subscribe to the Center Quality Management (CQM) offering that will provide them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to drive the 5 steps listed above and help their center become 'great.'

To Register and Enroll Learners
Use the above URL whenever you register and enroll learners.
After your subscription is verified and you have received your ETC smart card, you may begin registering and enrolling your staff members.
- To register each learner, click on My Account on the top navigation bar and click on Signup Free on the login page.
- To enroll learners in a course(s), click on Course Catalog on the top navigation bar.

To Access Your Course(s)
Once your Director has registered and enrolled you in your course(s):
- Click on Course Room on the top navigation bar.
- Log in with the UserID and Password provided by your Director.
- Click on a course title to begin. We recommend starting only one course at a time. Once started the course is available for 6 weeks before expiring.

Directors now have the opportunity to bring afforable enterprise learning technology to their child care center. The benefits of using our online training include:
- On-demand: Training is available 24/7 from any computer with Internet access.
- Immediate: New staff can be trained in best practices immediately upon being hired.
- Applicable: Current staff can take courses to enhance their skills and improve quality and productivity.
- Certified: Our courses are certified for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits and Continuing Education Units (CEU).
- Reviewable: Directors may print online learner transcripts for personnel records and review by local licensing agents.
For an annual subscription price of $600, a director can register up to 20 individual staff members and enroll each in up to 20 clock hours of training.
